This week we were adapting stories from memory. We all recorded ourselves talking about a memory and then storyboarded what we would put to the memory. My memory is about how my Nan used to put a lot of effort into convincing me and my sister that she was a witch, and on one occasion made 'troll soup'.
My initial storyboard is very simple and messy but I enjoyed listening to my memory a day after recording it and exploring how I'd portray the story. I like the idea of getting my Nan's view of the story and adding it in, side by side, to see the comparison and how much my childhood memory warped itself. I then drew up these storyboard panels in Photoshop and put them together with the audio of me talking about my memory which I had edited down a little.
It's still very messy and simple but I enjoyed making it and thinking about the troll soup, along with the other oddities that my Nan came up with when me and Heather were kids.
