This week I have been talking with Donny Tam about the music further and have given a new version of the animatic with the roughs I have animated in them to give a clearer idea of timing. However, once this was out together and sent them to Donny thy pointed out that a lot of my animation went faster than those shots did in the animatic. I think got in a rhythm of just getting through my key frames and trying to make the movement look right instead of referring back to my animatic to ensure the timing was all matched up. So this weekend I have been going over my already animated scenes and making sure the timing of my roughs are the same as in my animatic to make Donny's life easier. The only part that I've kept looking different is the opening shot of the wheeley chair slide as I found it hard to make it as long as the opening of the animatic whilst still looking natural. Hopefully this shouldn't be too disruptive for Donny as we have discussed that part not having a score but instead the boring silence of a classroom.
Obviously not all of the animatic has animation in as I haven't animated all the shots yet, but hopefully will get into animating it further next week. I'm yet to hear back from Donny if these changes are helpful or whether we need to discuss it further yet but I'm hoping that I've at least made it a bit easier for them.
