Two Characters, One Setting - Easter

Over the last two weeks I have been progressing towards the end of the film where the bard and bear play music together, the bard on their flute, and the bear drumming on the tree stump. To do this I have searched for music with the right rhythm to have drumming paws added to it whilst keeping with the medieval/renaissance theme in the music. I have also done some more slight storyboarding for the ending of my film, as ending it on the two of them playing a tune together feels too sudden.

I found some good faster-paced pieces of music in this video by Phyllis Chan, and am going to use the tune that starts at 1:49 in the video. It should be good for the two characters to sway to and have fun with.

To make the music they play together blend with the rest of the film more I have added some cutaways to different woodland creatures stirring to listen to the music, similar to the squirrel twitching their tail to the tune earlier on in the film. After these cutaways we return to thee two of them playing the music, and tilts upwards to the tree tops and sun to bring more of a sense of an ending.

This is what the film looks like at this point, towards the end for them being in the same shot it looks a little odd as I've blended two separate films of the characters together, and you can still see the pages they're on. I am hoping to draw out some simple backgrounds to go behind them to give an idea of what their setting is like, as well and implying the colour scheme I would want to use if I had the time to colour the film in. I will probably fade the backgrounds a little for the final film so that the animation can be seen more clearly, therefore taking the colours away a little, but I still think it will benefit from having a fuller looking world.
